Visit on a Tuesday, and you’ll find yourself amidst a bustling cattle market where locals from Zadvarje and nearby areas sell cattle, handmade artifacts, and food. The friendly villagers warmly invite you to sample their products, no strings attached.

Zadvarje isn’t just a stopover; it’s a destination for thrill-seekers and adventurers. Known as the best adventure playground in Dalmatia, the village offers a plethora of activities, from rafting and hiking to jeep safaris, canyoning, canoeing, and biking.

Rafting and canoe safaris embark from a section of the canyon 20 minutes north of the village, featuring class II and III rapids. The exhilarating canyoning tours commence just 5 minutes from our base, concluding near the Small Gubavica waterfall, where our river tubing tour begins.

For those seeking a more relaxed pace, the proximity to Mount Biokovo makes Zadvarje ideal for hiking, biking, and rock climbing. The Nature Park Biokovo, rising to the south of the village, offers endless trails through stunning landscapes, with views of the Adriatic Sea and its islands. Near the village center, a 10-minute walk leads to a small rock climbing area with 20 sports routes. For avid climbers, larger areas are just a short drive away in Brela and Omiš.
